A análise descritiva quantitativa é fundamental no desenvolvimento dos cosméticos, permitindo identificar as características sensoriais dos produtos. Este trabalho teve como objetivo revisar a análise sensorial descritiva de cosméticos. Há uma perspectiva de evolução da análise descritiva, permitindo o desenvolvimento de técnicas simplificadas e acessíveis.
Quantitative descriptive analysis is fundamental in cosmetics development as it allows to identify products sensory characteristics. This work aimed to review the descriptive sensory analysis of cosmetics. There is a perspective of a future evolution over descriptive analysis, allowing the development of simplified and accessible techniques.
El análisis descriptiva cuantitativa es fundamental en el desarrollo de los cosméticos, permitiendo identificar las características sensoriales de los productos. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo revisar el análisis sensorial descriptivo de los cosméticos. Existe una perspectiva de evolución futura del análisis descriptivo, permitiendo el desarrollo de técnicas simplificadas y accesibles.
Análise Sensorial: Conceito e Contextualização Histórica
A análise sensorial se baseia na utilização dos sentidos humanos – visão, tato, paladar, olfato e audição – para avaliar as características de determinado produto ou alimento.1 Por meio dessa abordagem, é possível compreender as preferências individuais dos consumidores,2,3 identificar diferenças entre produtos,4,5 investigar a influência de variáveis no sensorial6-8 e fornecer informações importantes acerca da qualidade e da segurança do produto, permitindo sua adequação aos padrões estabelecidos e às expectativas dos consumidores.9,10
No contexto específico do desenvolvimento de cosméticos, a análise senso rial desempenha um papel fundamental, visto que, ao considerar a influência dos sentidos humanos no desenvolvimento de formulações, não apenas atende aos benefícios funcionais, mas também proporciona uma experiência sensorial agradável aos usuários.5,11
É fato que a satisfação dos consumidores é de extrema importância na área de cosméticos, uma vez que uma experiência sensorial positiva com um produto pode influenciar diretamente na percepção de sua eficácia e na adesão dos usuários a tratamentos cosméticos com esse produto.12-15
O presente estudo teve como objetivo principal investigar a aplicação da análise sensorial como uma ferramenta valiosa no desenvolvimento de cosméticos. Além disso, buscou elucidar os procedimentos metodológicos empregados na análise descritiva quantitativa de produtos cosméticos, para avaliar, de forma abrangente, os benefícios e as limitações dessa abordagem como suporte para o aprimoramento e a otimização desses produtos. Espera-se, por meio desta investigação, contribuir para o avanço do conhecimento científico no campo da ciência sensorial aplicada à indústria cosmética.
