A pele, incluindo a facial, apresenta em sua composição inúmeras espécies bacterianas. Por a pele do rosto ser alvo frequente do uso de cosméticos, este trabalho explorou as alterações em sua microbiota associadas ao uso diário de cosméticos.
The skin, including the facial skin, shows a several amounts bacterial species in its composition. As it is a frequently treated with cosmetics, this article explored the changes in the facial skin microbiota after daily use of cosmetics.
La piel, incluida la piel facial, tiene gran diversidade de especies bacterianas en su composición. Como la piel facial es un frecuente objetivo para el uso de cosméticos, este artículo exploró los cambios en la microbiota de la piel facial asociado por el uso diario de productos cosméticos.

A pele do rosto é alvo de extensos cuidados e aplicação de produtos estéticos ao longo da vida.1,2 Sabe-se que esse órgão difere em relação às propriedades físico-químicas ao longo do corpo, incluindo a região facial. Isso significa que existem diferenças como temperatura, umidade, pH, oleosidade e disponibilidade de oxigênio, o que resulta em diversos microambientes.3
A pele do rosto está diretamente exposta às condições ambientais, gerando, então, a necessidade do uso de produtos capazes de reduzir possíveis danos, como o protetor solar, que previne queimaduras solares e o fotoenvelhecimento, além de cremes hidratante e outros cosméticos disponíveis no mercado.1,2 Nesse sentido, esses produtos contribuem para mudanças nas propriedades da pele, resultando em alterações como nível de hidratação, aumento ou redução da oleosidade e aspereza da pele.1,2,4
